Our Story
Buff & Fluff Clothing Co. was born out of friendship, good stories, and a shared obsession with the salt and soul of the Florida coast.
David and Greg have always called Tennessee home—but the coast? That’s where their hearts belong. Greg grew up visiting his family’s beach house as a kid, where early mornings were spent chasing crabs and evenings were filled with Gulf sunsets and the hum of dock lights. David first felt the pull of the saltwater in his early teens. One trip was all it took—he was hooked. From then on, he found every excuse to get back to the water.
Years later, standing on the deck of that same family beach house, after a long day on the water, swapping stories and soaking in the breeze, they found themselves laughing about their personalities—David, the gym rat with a thing for clean lines and tight lines, and Greg, the bigger, easygoing guy with a love for good food and better conversation. “Buff” and “Fluff,” they joked. And that’s when it hit them.

Buff & Fluff Clothing Co. became their way to bottle up everything they loved about the coast: the colors, the wildlife, the grit, the peace, and the magnetic pull of saltwater life. They set out to design a brand that didn’t just look coastal—but felt coastal. Authentic. Relaxed. Born from the docks and boat ramps, the bait shops and beach bars.
Now, as fathers of sons who are the same age—and best friends just like them—David and Greg are building Buff & Fluff not just for today, but for the future. It’s more than a brand. It’s a legacy. A reminder to slow down, get outside, chase fish, and make memories that last long after the sun goes down.
Every design is inspired by the Florida shoreline—pencil sketch illustrations of tarpon, mahi, and yellowfin tuna, colorful renderings of center consoles, skiffs, shrimp boats, and sun-faded maps. It’s a visual love letter to the lifestyle they can’t shake and don’t want to.
